Why is this huge?

Many guests of Armageddon have included major Celebrities, TV Actors, Voice Actors, Authors and Cosplay guests. But as the live streaming and video games industry continues to grow in New Zealand there are so many opportunities for attendees when you invite members of these industries to Armageddon.

I recently attended PAX Aus for the first time last year and I was completely blown away by the variety of panels that were available for guests to attend. It felt like there was always something new to go to every day of the Convention. From game dev panels like “Introduction to Narrative Design” or “Mental Health and the benefits of Video Games” to streamer panels such as “How to Stream to Save the Planet” and “Rainbow Road: Positive LGBTQI+ Game Experiences” there were always opportunities to learn about what I was passionate about and what more, I was given a platform to ask questions.

I felt involved.

What’s so special about panels?

Panels offer audiences an opportunity to learn more about topics they may be interested in from industry professionals who are willing to share their insights. Then, if given the opportunity, ask questions and have them answered. It’s that simple!

But Blame, Celebrity Panels are already a thing!

Absolutely! But how often do actors get asked “How do I get into acting?” or “what was it like working with X?” rinse and repeat? Imagine if they were there to help you get into the industry?
The most exciting panels I’ve attended have been discussions about a persons favorite music in anime (Moderated by PokeCollection) or “How to get into Voice Acting” (Presented by AimeeSmithVA)
What is important is that there are a variety of panels for other interests and a variety of hosts to provide them.

The introduction of Influencers as guests means that very soon, this could be a reality.

I’m looking forward to the opportunities this presents and encourage those who wish to run their own panels at Armageddon to do so.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is easily one of my favorite fighting games of all time. It’s a mixture of two of my favorite things. Dragon Ball Z and anything that ArcSystemWorks makes (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena etc).

And the surprises just keep coming.

I never would have expected to have a third year of DLC from Dragon Ball FighterZ but this year ArcSystem is really pulling out all the stops to include some season favorites.

The crowd at the Red Bull DragonBall FighterZ World Tour in Paris were treated to an exclusive announcement that showcases both Ultra Instinct Goku and Kefla to much excitement.

With characters like Goku (GT) and Janemba (Both of which are considered non-canon) having been added to the current roster it’s hard to guess who may be next, but rest assured there still may be hope for Mr. Satan (Hercule) yet!

The Students of Class 1-A are back with an exciting new installment of My Hero One’s Justice! The Shōnen Jump smash hit adds new characters, new game modes and new abilities that show fans just how far the characters have come in the beloved anime series.

Bigger than before!

My Hero One’s Justice 2 includes a much larger roster which not only includes returning characters such as All-Might, Bakugo and fan favorite Shota Aizawa but also new additions such as Gang Orca, Seiji Shishikura, Camie Utsushimi, Kendo Rappa and Mirio Togata (famously the top candiate for All Might’s One for All Quirk)

It looks as though certain characters will also receive updates to their abilities to reflect their progress in the Manga and Anime series.

Mission Mode encourages players to dive deeper into the world of My Hero Academia by creating their very own Hero Offices! Complete missions to earn money and fame while recruiting your favorite characters to work for you. If you’ve ever dreamed about what life might be like for Sir Nighteye or Mr. Principal (Nezu) this is probably the game mode for you!

More Story!

Story Mode introduces a new perspective as you step into the shoes of both Hero and Villain in a story that remains faithful to the original Anime. The game promises over the top battles and breathtaking cinematics featuring all your favorite characters!
